I'm Rebecca and I am the editor at Expedite Publishing.
Originally a scientist, I spent almost 7 years working on the bench in one of the best molecular biology Institutes in Singapore. As time went on, I found that I much preferred helping the many scientists for whom English was their second language with their writing, rather than working in the lab.
I moved home to Australia mid-last year and created Expedite Publishing as a way to continue to help scientists of different nationalities perfect their English communication.
During the years in Singapore, my friends and I became quite fascinated with "Singlish", or Singapore English, and my Singlish page will be dedicated to that.
And check out the Erroneous Gallery, where colleagues and friends have stumbled upon instances of poor translations. Please send in your photos when you come across these some of the common mistakes to share on the site.
